Ryu went over the same form again, enjoying the small squeals of approval she received from her audience. "You see? Nothing to it. Now watch as I make a hungry dragon!" A smirk came across her face as some of the little girls sitting in front of her screamed, not in fright, but excitement. The show ended when the mothers had returned from their relaxation time, and the group of admiring children slowly left the beach, still complaining that they wanted to keep watching. "Kids," Ryu shook her head.

Ezira sighed. She hated Ember Island.
She was here for one reason, and one reason only: her parents made her. Apparently she needed to "take time to relax" or something. They claimed that she didn't spend enough time for herself and that she was running herself into the ground with all of the training she did. They didn't really understand how she had to train if she wanted to reach her goals.
Ezira flicked her black hair over her shoulder, getting it out of her face. The ship was pulling up to the dock, and she glanced up at her family's gorgeous lake house. It was complete with floor-to-ceiling windows, wooden furniture, Fire Nation decorating, and a million other amazing things...but Ezira honestly hated it. The only place for her was the Capitol. End of story.
Her brother came to stand next to her. He wanted to watch the ship dock as well, and run out onto the beach. Ezira looked down at him. As if she would get enough rest with him around. She was honestly fond of her brother, but he was a trouble-maker, and he always pulled people down with him.
Ezira's amber eyes looked around the miserable island from her vantage point on the ship. There were a bunch of children (she hated children) making a lot of noise. Toys littered the beach. Girls wore skimpy bikinis. All in all, it was a pretty normal sight. Not something a person would ever see in the Capitol, but normal.
They ship reached land, and as much as she hated the island, she was glad the motion was over. She knew that she would have trouble getting her "land-legs", as they say. Just another miserable part of her trip.

Two hours later, Ezira was lying in her room, staring up at the ceiling. Her room was the only good thing about the island. There weren't any really disgusting colors (namely pink), and the furniture was mahogany, Ezira's favorite. It was comfortable, quiet, and calming.
"Ezira! Come on into the town with me! I hear there's a firebender performing in town! I wanna see how good she is!"
...Well, it was quiet before that. Her brother ran into her room, turning on the lights and ending her peace.

They ending up going into town. Ezira quickly spotted the firebender (she was surrounded by children watching the show), and had to admit that she looked really good. Her strange silver eyes were focused on the bending. Still...Ezira thought she was better.
Almost to herself, she muttered, "I bet you I could be better than her...I'd like to see..." But this girl was good. She didn't like that someone else could be that good. Ezira had big plans, and she didn't want anyone screwing them up. And if someone tried...
She hated Ember Island.
ooc: Lame post. Sorry it's so long. Got carried away.

Ryu gave a small yawn before removing her shoes. She padded up to the edge of the beach where the waves were grasping the shore. Her mind wandered as she watched them, and for a moment, her brain stopped functioning. She absolutely hated it when she had hair in her face, but the small, stringy black bang that waved in front of her eyes had no impact on her. Her hand didn't try to push it out of the way, nothing.
She was hypnotized by the waves. They reminded her so much of her own element, yet they were so different. Her mouth let out a sigh, startling her. "Ember Island can do that to you."
