Rui huffed in exasperation as her canoe entered the city gates. This was the last thing she wanted, to be here, to be in this land of rules and regulations. She might have been born here, but returning was never in her agenda, the southern tribe was her home. "So fancy," she whispered as she passed through the twisting canals. "I wonder how they find their way around." People in furs and parkas stared down at her and tossed petals. There must have been some sort of ice-resistent flower. "These people must know who I am, that I'm related to royalty." Pattering feet and cheers followed her trail as she was led through the city.

Storm stood in the large crowd of screaming northern water tribe folk. He had heard that a member of the royal family was on her way. Then, as he had been told, she began to come into view. A canoe?! A member of the royal family was coming in on a canoe?! He laughed out loud and pushed his way through the crowd to take his position.
He stood on the edge of the ice where the water met the snow and ice. His current job was helping passengers get out of their... boats. He and some other men stood out on the banks, dressed in blue parkas, and used some swift delicate movements to make ice come out of the bottom of the water. They then used some more moves to push the waves toward the banks more fiercly and here came the woman.
He helped her out of the canoe and said, "Come, we need to get you indoors." He was going to take her to the palace, as planned and show her to her room. He hated this job but, hey, he might make a friend.

"Thank you," she whispered. She didn't think he heard her, after all, she could barely hear herself think with all the commotion. Maybe she would like it here, but then again, maybe she wouldn't. It was too loud, too cold, and much too busy. "Back in the city," she thought aloud.

Storm lead her into a large dome of ice that acted as a tunnel to the palace. He was trying to avoid the rampaging citizens that would do anything to meet a member of the royal family. They were all so immature. He couldn't hear her when she spoke but he nodded his head as if he did, not wanting to act rude. Once they exited the ice tunnel they came to a large ice structure.
"Here is the palace," he said like a tour guide would. This is where you will be staying while you are here. He then led her into the palace, by guards, and around some complicated hallways. He led her into a room and said, "This is where you will be staying to be more precise." He gestured to her bed as if to say 'Put the things you need here'.
"Is there anything else I can help you with?" He asked, politely. He hoped she didn't need anything but he would do what she needed if she needed it.

"No, I," she paused. "I think I would just like to be alone for awhile."
She needed time to get used to this new arrangement. Besides, she didn't want to bother him like a lost child.

Rui sat on the bed and stared hopelessly up at the ceiling. The least her father could have done was come with her, but no, he had to stay. She felt extremely lonely as she clutched her necklace. For a moment she wondered if she should call the man back just so she could talk to someone.
"You need a friend."
"Wait," she called to the man who had started to leave. "What's your name? You know," she fake explained. "Just in case I need anything later."
But it was too late, he had already left.
